Definition "Delayed Connect"
With 'Delayed Connect', the return signal for the establishment of a complete telephone connection between caller and called party is suppressed for a maximum of 120 seconds. This is particularly suitable when using an ACD system to implement free waiting loops, because the complete connection between customer service and caller is only established when an employee answers the call. Another advantage is that audio information can be transmitted to the caller beforehand. This means that the caller can hear announcements and individual music on hold from the company, but cannot be heard themself. With Delayed Connect, a free waiting field can be implemented for a maximum of 120 seconds at the beginning of a connection.
