Has everything under control and the horizon in sight: Michael Jedamski

"We are VIER!" Today: Michael Jedamski, VIER Software Developer

In the interview, Michael talks about his work as a software developer at VIER and what he particularly enjoys about it.

Hello Michael, how long have you been part of VIER?
I started in November 2012 in the field of Windows client development - back then at 4Com, one of VIER's founding companies. In August 2018, I then moved to the Teamstar section. And this area was later renamed RTMP Real-Time Media Processing.

You are a Software Developer - what do you do?
My primary task is to ensure that our telephony systems run smoothly. The further development of the platform is another part of my job. And, of course, I also provide support, but that is exclusively at the 3rd level.

What skills or experiences from previous jobs help you in your work?
The ability to constantly learn something new! Since the IT sector is a very fast-paced field, you always have to work out many things anew. And with experience comes the ability to approach things calmly and cautiously, especially when things do not go as expected.

What do you particularly like about your job?
I like being constantly faced with new challenges. But the most important thing is my many dear colleagues, with whom you can have fun even in tough times.

Where do you know your way around better - on the water or in the mountains?
Clearly: On the water! For several years now, I have been trying to spend as much of my free time as possible on the water. Preferably on boats with a rig. It is simply nice to hear only the water and the wind!
