Definition

When using a predictive dialler, the so-called overdial factor specifies the maximum number of telephone connections that can be set up simultaneously per free employee. Since experience shows that not all of those dialled also accept the call, an overdial factor ensures that the customer service staff are well occupied with calls. Intelligent staff scheduling is also essential for a good balance between the number of established telephone connections and the number of available staff.
