What does Christian Oldendorf do as Head of Professional Services at VIER? He told us.
Hello Christian, since when have you been part of VIER?
Oh dear, I must be one of the company's veterans by now... My career began in September 2007 as a project manager in the technical-operational area. Since then, I have had the opportunity to take on many different roles, which has always kept the work exciting. As a solution architect, I designed solutions for our customers, advised them on their deployment and supported the users during operation with various challenges. As a Team Lead, I was responsible for sales in the Key Account segment for six years and as a Software Integration Consultant, I integrated different customer systems into my own IT system architecture.
You are now Head of Professional Services - what do you do in concrete terms?
As Head of Professional Services, I am responsible for a total of five teams from the areas of consulting, integration, project management and training. With our products and solutions, we pursue the goal of sustainably improving the customer experience and employee satisfaction in companies. Our task in Professional Services is to advise companies, to accompany them on this path and to bring them to their goal according to plan.
What do you particularly like about your job?
The varied range of tasks, the freedom to organise my work and a good work-life balance! I am also proud to be able to make a significant contribution to improving customer communication in companies.
What experience or skills from previous jobs help you?
During my time as Team Lead of the Solution Architects, I realised how important trust, transparency and reliability are. This is true both in employee management and in client relations. I would definitely like to hold on to these values.
Which historical, already deceased personality would you have liked to meet privately?
Clear answer: Steve Jobs! A great visionary who is still one of the greatest pioneers of the technology industry.
